Laboratory tests
Residual water and moisture
The analysis is carried out directly on the sample (for liquid samples) or by extraction of the residual moisture with anhydrous methanol (for solid samples). The technique used is coulometric titration according to Karl Fisher. The method is specific for water, extremely sensitive and linear in response, so that the determination of water in concentrations from 1 part per million (p.p.m.) up to 100 % is possible.
